Privacy Policy
What we collect, what we do with it, and what Dave definitely does not do with it. Last updated: .
FlapSnaps is operated by Dave, a private individual, for the purposes of receiving, reviewing, and potentially featuring consensual adult flap submissions. This policy explains how personal data is handled in the course of running this site.
If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, you have rights under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Dave takes these rights seriously, even if he sometimes sighs before doing so.
1. What we collect
Submissions via email
When you email a submission to dave@flapsnaps.com, we receive and store:
- Your email address (from the email header).
- Any images or files you attach.
- Any personal information you include in the email body, such as your name, preferred credit, or any notes you choose to share.
Website visitors
This site does not use cookies, analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking scripts. Dave does not know you visited. Dave has no opinion about you visiting. Dave is fine.
The only third-party request made by this site is to Google Fonts, which loads typefaces used in the design. Google may log this request in accordance with their own privacy policy. Dave has no control over this and would prefer not to think about it.
2. Why we collect it
- To review your submission — Dave reads it. That is the point.
- To contact you about your submission — If Dave has questions or a decision to communicate.
- To feature your content — Only if you have consented to this, with the credit or anonymity you requested.
- To handle complaints and removals — If you contact us about content or a concern, we keep that correspondence to act on it.
The legal basis for processing is legitimate interests (operating the site as described) and, where content is featured, explicit consent given at the point of submission.
3. What we do not do
- We do not sell your data. Not to anyone. Not for any price.
- We do not share your images or personal details with third parties, except where strictly necessary to operate the site (e.g. email hosting infrastructure).
- We do not use your submission for advertising, AI training, commercial licensing, or any purpose beyond this site.
- We do not send marketing emails. Dave has enough going on.
4. How long we keep it
Submission emails are retained for as long as your content remains on the site, plus a reasonable period thereafter in case of disputes.
If your content is not featured, your submission email may be retained briefly for record-keeping purposes, then deleted. Dave does not hoard.
If you request removal, your content is deleted promptly. Residual copies in email backups are purged in the normal course of those systems cycling.
5. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — Request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — Ask us to delete your data ("the right to be forgotten").
- Restriction — Ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Objection — Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Portability — Request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Withdrawal of consent — Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. This does not affect prior processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email dave@flapsnaps.com. Dave will respond within one calendar month, as required by law, although ideally sooner because Dave is an organised person.
If you are unsatisfied with how your request is handled, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection authority.
6. Security
Submissions are received via email, which is inherently not end-to-end encrypted unless you use a service that provides this (such as ProtonMail). If you are concerned about the security of your submission in transit, please consider this before sending.
Once received, submissions are stored on Dave's personal devices and email account, which are protected by standard security measures. Dave is not a corporation. Dave is careful.
7. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of the page will reflect when it was last revised. Dave will not send you a notification, because Dave does not have your contact details unless you have submitted something, and in that case Dave already has more than enough to think about.
8. Contact
All privacy-related queries should be directed to Dave:

Dave is the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR. Dave finds this sentence as strange to write as you do to read.
